Terms and conditions (AGB)

Animalbook.de (Wolfgang Glaser/Rodgau) processes your order based on the terms and conditions displayed below. Conditions are effective as published in our service at the time the order is placed. Please feel free to download this text to your computer and/or print it (CTRL&P). Additional provisions different to these conditions will not be accepted without our written confirmation.

• § 1 Conclusion

  1. Our statements regarding goods and prices within the scope of processing your order are free from obligation. The sales contract about the article(s) of your choice is concluded upon receipt of our written message, stating that we accept your order and confirm delivery.

  2. Check our statement for obvious typing and/or computing errors, as well as for inconsistencies between order, confirmation and delivery. You are bound to inform us without delay about any discrepancies you detect. If one of the parties claims withdrawal because of such differences, please refrain from unwrapping the goods. The customer will be charged for any depreciation caused by broken packagings, as long as the german telemarketing law (Fernabsatzgesetz) does not provide the chance of revocation. Send back the goods to our address stated on the delivery note. Postage or pickup expenses will be covered by us, if it was not possible for you to detect the inconsistency before the time of delivery and inform us in time.

• § 2 Right of revocation

  1. You have the right to revoke the sales contract without giving reasons within a 30-day period from the day of delivery. The deadline will be met as long as the revoke was sent within this time limit. In case you used the goods and caused obvious signs of usage, this deadline is reduced to a 14-day period from the day of delivery and we reserve the right to charge you for any depreciation caused hereby. Breaking the seals on CDs, DVDs, videos or software will automatically cause your right of revocation to expire. Downloaded software does not include any right of revocation.

  2. Revocation can be claimed in written form, on any other durable medium, via email, or simply by sending back the goods. The revoke is to be sent to the address below: Animalbook.de - Kundenservice Liebigstraße 1 D-63110 Rodgau Germany Email: info@animalbook.de

  3. By sending the revoke within the agreed time limit, you are no longer bound to the contract with Animalbook.de. Animalbook.de will fully refund you the price you paid. You are bound to send back the goods within a 14-day period from the day of delivery; Animalbook.de will cover these expenses.

• § 3 Delivery

  1. We deliver books in the way of your choice to all postal addresses worldwide. Choosing a shipping method other than those we offer, might cause additional forwarding expenses. For international deliveries you will be charged for all taxes and customs duties.

  2. Place of fulfillment is our supply depot. Delivery will usually take 3 workdays, with an appropriate delay being possible in special cases.

  3. We have the right to send partial deliveries. If you are not interested in a partial delivery, leave the goods unopened until the rest of the delivery arrived. If you opened the goods, you will be charged for any depreciation caused hereby, in case of revocation after deadline expiry. Animalbook.de will cover additional expenses caused by partial deliveries.

• § 4 Terms of payment

  1. All goods remain property of Animalbook.de until complete payment.

  2. We can only accept the methods of payment offered in the ordering process. In case a direct debit is cancelled, you hereby irrevocably authorize your bank to tell us your name and your actual address.

  3. In case of default of payment, in spite of deadline and reminder, you will be charged with default interests 5% above the European central bank's actual base interest rate as long as no minor damage is proven.

• § 5 Warranty and liability

  1. In case of faulty or defective goods, we will either correct the faults or send an alternative delivery within appropriate time after receiving your complaint. If we are unable to do that, you have the right to revoke the sales contract or to reduce the sales price. The warranty period is 6 months.

  2. We are liable for damages through our own fault by breach of essential contract duties or in case of a lack of granted features. Beyond that, our liability is limited to the terms of the product liability law, except the damage was caused gross negligent or intentional by ourselves or authorized representatives.

  3. In case of negligent breach of essential contract duties, we are liable for any typical and expectable damage, usually limited by the sales price of the ordered goods. Liability in these cases will be limited to damages to the ordered goods.

• § 6 General

  1. These terms and conditions are bound to existing german law and jurisdiction, excluding UN sales laws, even in case of orders from abroad and/or international delivery. If your place of residence or legal domicile is outside of Germany, any disputes arising hereunder will be settled before a competent Rodgau court of law. We are entitled to take legal action within your legal domicile as well. In case of legal claims or litigation, the address for summons is:

  2. Your right of compensation or reduction will be granted once your claims are legally binding or confirmed by us. Deduction is limited to claims based on the same sales contract.

  3. Should an essential part of a contract be or become invalid under these conditions, the other parts of that contract will still remain valid and effective.
